Murphy's Backpacks gives elementary schools what they need to teach and students what they need to learn — funding curriculum and putting supplies directly in classrooms.
Our Mission
Murphy’s Backpacks began in 2017 as a private family foundation dedicated to providing backpacks and school supplies to elementary-aged students. As we built relationships with our partner schools, we became aware of the serious gap between the funding schools receive and the actual needs of their students and teachers. Over the last decade, we have expanded to bridge that gap with Beyond The Backpack and Frenchie’s Closet Programs. Thanks to Donors like you, Murphy’s Backpacks has provided more than $420,000 to support 2,500 students and teachers at our partner schools.

Schools
Today we partner with four elementary schools located in Collier County, Florida, and Chicago, Illinois. We work exclusively with Title I schools that serve economically disadvantaged students. We collaborate with school principals to meet the unique needs of students and teachers at each school.
